4 Essential Items When Taking Your Family to the Beach
This is the vacation day that you have waited on for many days,
weeks, or even months. You've carefully planned off time from work and have packed your suitcases with many of
the vacation essentials that you will need for your beach trip. Here are some of the essential items that you
will need when taking your family to the beach.
-
Backpack beach chairs – These items are essential to
enjoying your time on the sandy beaches. It can be a pain to lug those standard aluminum folding chairs
from the trunk of your car all the way down where the ocean meets the sand. These different kinds of
chairs can be worn on your shoulders like a backpack leaving your hands free to carry other essential
items. You'll rest easily knowing that you have a place to relax and sit off of the hot sandy beach.
There is nothing more relaxing than to have one of these folding chairs with you, so you can sit and
enjoy the sound and feel of the cool ocean water.
-
An insulated cooler – This is another must-have for a warm
beach outing. While some beaches do have refreshment stands that sell drinks and food, you can certainly
save a lot of hard-earned money by preparing some snack items for yourself. A large cooler can
accommodate a family of five with enough ice, sodas, and sandwich makings for an impromptu lunch on the
beach. Be sure to bring bread and condiments as well as some extra stale or older bread to feed the
seagulls! For adult beach parties, an insulated cooler can hold your favorite chilled adult beverages.
Just make sure that you do not bring any glass on the beach as it is not allowed in most areas. And, to
be courteous to other beachgoers, pick up after yourself!
-
Sunscreen – While most of the time you will be enjoying
the ocean view from your backpack beach chair, naturally some of the time you will want to be out in the
sun or down in the ocean waves. Make sure that you carry the right sunscreen SPF to keep yourself from
becoming burned, which can make you miserable for the rest of the trip. Even if you buy a waterproof
sunscreen, make sure to reapply it during your time on the beach.
-
Music – Likely someone around you will be playing some
kind of music. If you are near a commercial stretch of land, you'll probably be able to hear the sounds
from the restaurants and bars. However, you can also bring your own radio or mp3 player with speakers so
that everyone around you can enjoy the music. Just make sure that you give everyone a chance to request
a song so that everyone is happy!
